Play Tennis with us this Summer
Our Adult Tennis programme is for everyone. All we really want is for as many people to play tennis as possible. We simply love the sport and we want everyone to join us and have a great time.
This Summer we are running two adult sessions – Tennis Xpress & Rusty Rackets.
For those new to us or who don’t know much about our Adult Tennis Coaching Programme these are some key things to know:
- You don’t need to be a member of Kings Lawn Tennis Club to be able to attend our sessions
- You don’t need to be able to play tennis, the appropriate session (Tennis Xpress) can get you started
- Sessions are great fun
Tennis Xpress
An incredibly popular six-week beginners course for adults who are completely new to tennis or for those that struggle having the confidence to join an established group. In the Summer we run an extra group:
- Summer Tuesday Night Tennis Xpress – Tuesday 16 July to Tuesday 20 August at 6 – 7.30pm
- Summer Tuesday Night Tennis Xpress – Tuesday 16 July to Tuesday 20 August at 7.30 – 9pm
These sessions are also great for parents of children who are enjoying tennis and who want to play as a family. A great chance to start playing tennis, building up your technical knowledge as well as your confidence to get serves in and enjoy a rally. In addition to the summer sessions run on Mondays at 11am – 12.30pm.
Rusty Rackets
This is a friendly drop-in coaching session for adults who can rally and keep a ball in the court. Its aim is to improve the technique of both those who haven’t picked up a racket in a while and players who are now attending regularly. All shots from serve to groundstrokes to volleys are coached with the ultimate goal of everyone enjoying a rally and getting back to playing singles or doubles club sessions. Sessions run every Monday and Thursday evening at 7.30-9pm
Rusty Racket Mondays
A relaxed coaching group full of lovely people who have played a bit but don’t have huge amounts of confidence! A really fun way to get back in to playing in a fun, chilled out environment!

Rusty Racket Thursdays
A slightly more competitive drop in coaching session for adults who can rally and keep a ball in the court!
- Book Thursday Night Rusty Rackets at 7.30 – 9pm
There isn’t any tennis from Saturday 24 August to Sunday 1 September as all our coaches are having a well earned week off.
