July Monthly Awards
We are pleased to award three worthy winners this month. Our coaches discuss all the juniors ahead of making their decision and we felt that the three young tennis players deserved the award this month.
Saturday Superstar – Daniel Brooker
Daniel has been coming to Elly’s 5/6 year old Saturday group consistently and always gives everything a go and two weeks ago he cracked it and started doing controlled feeds across the net which he has found challenging. He is now improving each week and growing in confidence! Really proud of you Daniel!
Junior Standout – Luke Bailey & Cooper Richardson
This month we are giving two of our U14 boys Luke and Cooper with Junior Standout Awards. They have had different paths into their tennis and sometimes they haven’t taken it too seriously or wanted to compete, however these days they really love their tennis as teenagers. They are finding tennis challenging and really enjoying the social side of the sport. Last weekend they competed for our U14 team playing tough opponents, Bath. They not only got some wins but enjoyed themselves!! Nice one boys!
Road to Wimbledon supported by Slazenger
Road to Wimbledon is the biggest junior tournament in British tennis and gives all U14 players the opportunity to progress through to compete on the world famous grass courts at Wimbledon.
The regional Road to Wimbledon tournament will be held at Kings on the 10th & 11th July and following winning their earlier rounds George and Daisy Hawke will be competing in the tournament – we wish you all the best George and Daisy!
