Tennis for all
Anyone who knows me, Francois or Tom, or who comes and hits a ball here at King’s Tennis Club knows that at Elly Shearman Tennis Coaching we’re not just about the tennis – we’re about community and just getting everyone, whatever their ability, on a court hitting a ball and having loads of fun.
Truly believing that tennis is for all, we run sessions for everyone, from tots to the over-fifties. We’re open to everyone, anyone can come and we aim for the atmosphere to be welcoming.
It’s what drives us as a coaching team.
Wilson Family
So I was thrilled to be approached by one of the best brands in the sport – Wilson – and asked to become one of their Advisory Staff. Especially when it’s an honour normally reserved for the likes of Serena and Venus Williams and Roger Federer.
Wilson love our ethos and how we try to make the sport available to everyone.
It was the video on our mums and tots group on our mums and tots group that they noticed. I love seeing mums playing tennis and wanting to improve their game but mostly I just love seeing mums enjoying playing tennis. And I think you’ll agree the tots are pretty cute too!
For our achievements to be acknowledged by Wilson in this way is amazing!
Rackets
It’s also great news for players at the club and those who are part of our coaching program. It means that as well as hosting a demo day for rackets (which is really fun!), by going through us and Gyles Brothers our players can get discounted rackets.
Last but not least, it means we should be able to have new balls on court more often!
