Tom Smith Assistant Coach
Tom works with our Red Ball and Under 8 tennis courses as well as outreach work with schools to share his love & passion for tennis with the children in Bristol. Tom joined Elly’s coaching team in April 2014.
Tom was Avon Tennis Disability Coach of the Year 2022 and is an integral part of Accessible Tennis offering at Elly Shearman Tennis Coaching. We are so proud to be able to provide tennis for everyone and we welcome and encourage anyone who is interested in the sport to play, regardless of their age or ability.
Tom is a tournament referee and holds tournaments at Kings Tennis Club. Tom tells us more: “I have always wanted to have an officiating role such as refereeing. I have loved officiating tournaments, especially juniors. Creating a great tournament atmosphere and providing a nice environment for kids to enjoy competitive tennis is the greatest feeling. I look forward to officiating many more tournaments in the future.”
